Our cousins brought us for a day trip to Melaka the very next day. Lots of sight seeing and of cos, lots of eating! Hehe.. Food there was great!! I’ll never ever forget that particular dish of fish we all had. I can’t remember the exact name but it was wrapped in banana leaves and cooked with curry sauce. Yummy! Once I have found the pictures I took in Melaka, I will upload them up :)

Wedding Reception at Muar, Johor (10th December 2011 - Evening)
Our wedding reception at Muar was held on the evening of Saturday, 10th December 2011. Lots of pictures were taken that evening by my third aunt and by cousin-in-law, not using my camera. Hence, I couldn’t up load the pictures for this event as I do not have the soft copy of the pictures :(
Anyway, the food was great, and so was the company that evening though I only knew like a small percentage of the people who turned up :p It was the first time I have heard of an emcee handling three weddings, all held at the same time. Rush here, rush there, wait here and wait there. I have done wedding emceeing before but not like that! I seriously believe it was a crazy night for her. Hahaha.. The restaurant was huge that was why three wedding receptions could be held that same evening.
Unlike Brunei, the wedding dinners in Malaysia normally starts early and ends early as well. And the projector, complete sound system, karaoke system and the decorations were all provided for us with no additional charges :)
Tea Ceremony at Muar, Johor (10th Dec 2011 - Morning)
Close relatives all gathered here, at my aunt's place that particular morning. After we had the simple tea ceremony, there was a light vegetarian lunch with just a plate of assorted "meat" :)

Muar, Johor (9th December 2011)
Our flight from Brunei to KL was around 2 hours long. After we got hold of all our luggages, we met up with the taxi driver who then sent us straight to Muar. It was a long car journey that lasted around 3 hours and cost was RM 230.
Upon arrival at our aunt’s place, we were welcomed by kolomee & lots of otah-otah :p
We were all happy to see daddy and mummy (who were there before us) and other familiar faces again. Last time I came back to Muar was like 7 years ago! Hehe :p At night, we all walked to a nearby shop for dinner. The food was really good and here are some shots I managed to take:
Our Trip Began on Friday, 9th December 2011 :)
Our long vacation started on Friday, 9th December 2011. We all woke up really early to double check everything, ensuring all power sockets in our house were plugged off and making sure we brought everything we need, especially for the wedding reception in Muar, Johor. Our kind neighbour sent us off to the airport that day at around 7am.
Our luggages combined. (Each couple with two luggages :p)
Breakfast at Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf (Departure Hall)
Brought our macbook air with us this time :)

Hey everyone, I’m back!!! Happy New Year 2012 :)
Happy New Year 2012!! Yeap, I’m back in Brunei after a 3-week long break. I must have missed a lot of things here in Brunei. Can somebody provide me the full details, please? Hehe :p
Overall, the long trip was a really good one. Left Brunei on Friday, 9th December 2011. Throughout, there were lots of bonding sessions with family and relatives. Many fun and memorable moments. Tried new things. Experienced and saw the different sides of life. Tired and quite stressed of moving from one place to another. Packing and unpacking again and again. Heavy and excess luggages. Flying here and there with Airasia a lot till the point like it’s dejavu! Met some weird taxi drivers. Lots of crazy sales. Shopped way too much and yea, I’m so dead broke right now. And of course, tasted lots of gooooooood food!!
Here’s a quick look at our journey:
Brunei => Kuala Lumpur => Muar (Wedding Reception) => Pagoh => Melaka => Johor => Senai => Penang => Langkawi => Kuala Lumpur => Singapore => Brunei.
My hubby and I took way too many photos this time. So, I will really take my time to upload the pictures in this blog. Therefore, please, stay tuned :p :p

Old Time Kopitiam II (at I-Centre, Kg. Anggerek Desa)
Just came back from late lunch at the newly opened, Old Time Kopitiam II at I-Centre, in Anggerek Desa. I am so impressed with the quality of the food and the customer service. Prices are very reasonable and they are very generous with their portions as well. When it comes to eating out, I really like it when restaurants and cafes automatically provide the hot water for the eating utensils and they did just that :) As we were so hungry, Hubby and I tried the various foods on the menu. Here’s our order:
Banana Cake with almond toppings.
So Good! Rich in banana flavour :p
Kopi-O :p
Nasi Lemak with Curry Chicken
The curry sauce is so yummy!! A must try :)
Nasi Lemak with Fried Chicken.
Love the way the chicken wing is cooked, delicious :p
Tauhu fah (original)
Egg tart, delicious :p
The egg tarts and cakes on display :)
So, do check out this place the next time you are hungry :p. Trust me, you’ll love it. They are open Mondays to Saturdays till 6pm. Closed on Sundays and on public holidays. Highly recommended by me, MM.
X-Factor (US) 2011, Season One
I’m faithfully catching every episode of X-Factor (US) 2011. I must say, it’s somehow better than American Idol. At the moment, it’s down to the final 5 contestants. This week, each of the contestants sang a Michael Jackson song. There are a few episodes of this show that really made me end up in tears. Touching moments.
Anyway, the top five finalists are: Melanie Amaro, Marcus Canty, Rachel Crow, Josh Krajcik and Chris Rene. They will continue to battle it out for America’s votes, The X Factor Title, a $5 million recording contract with Syco/Sony Music and an iconic Pepsi commercial. The pressure is on now as the ones remaining are the very talented ones. I’m actually hoping that Melanie Amaro will be the champion for X Factor 2011. Every song she belted out was amazing. She’s really talented and her voice is just so powerful. Good luck to the remaining contestants and I really look to watch the next episode of the show. Really can’t wait, hehe :)
The X-Factor (US) Judges, namely, Simon Cowell, Paula Abdul,
Nicole Scherzinger and LA Ried, together with the host, Steve Jones :)

Been to this restaurant a few times when we went down to Miri. I love this restaurant's mushroom soup, the best mushroom soup I've ever tasted so far :p :p
My favourite, Mushroom soup :p
And here's what my hubby and I ordered the last time we went there. Unfortunately, i cannot remember the full names of these two main dishes :(
