Old Time Kopitiam II (at I-Centre, Kg. Anggerek Desa)

Just came back from late lunch at the newly opened, Old Time Kopitiam II at I-Centre, in Anggerek Desa. I am so impressed with the quality of the food and the customer service. Prices are very reasonable and they are very generous with their portions as well. When it comes to eating out, I really like it when restaurants and cafes automatically provide the hot water for the eating utensils and they did just that :) As we were so hungry, Hubby and I tried the various foods on the menu. Here’s our order:

Banana Cake with almond toppings.
So Good! Rich in banana flavour :p

 Kopi-O :p

 Nasi Lemak with Curry Chicken
The curry sauce is so yummy!! A must try :)

 Nasi Lemak with Fried Chicken.
Love the way the chicken wing is cooked, delicious :p

 Tauhu fah (original)

 Egg tart, delicious :p

The egg tarts and cakes on display :)

So, do check out this place the next time you are hungry :p. Trust me, you’ll love it. They are open Mondays to Saturdays till 6pm. Closed on Sundays and on public holidays. Highly recommended by me, MM.

X-Factor (US) 2011, Season One

I’m faithfully catching every episode of X-Factor (US) 2011. I must say, it’s somehow better than American Idol. At the moment, it’s down to the final 5 contestants. This week, each of the contestants sang a Michael Jackson song. There are a few episodes of this show that really made me end up in tears. Touching moments.

Anyway, the top five finalists are: Melanie Amaro, Marcus Canty, Rachel Crow, Josh Krajcik and Chris Rene. They will continue to battle it out for America’s votes, The X Factor Title, a $5 million recording contract with Syco/Sony Music and an iconic Pepsi commercial. The pressure is on now as the ones remaining are the very talented ones. I’m actually hoping that Melanie Amaro will be the champion for X Factor 2011. Every song she belted out was amazing.  She’s really talented and her voice is just so powerful. Good luck to the remaining contestants and I really look to watch the next episode of the show. Really can’t wait, hehe :)

The X-Factor (US) Judges, namely, Simon Cowell, Paula Abdul,
Nicole Scherzinger and LA Ried, together with the host, Steve Jones :)

Twilight- Breaking Dawn, Puss in Boots, McD & Golden Leaf Restaurant (Jln. Tutong)

Yesterday, after heading back from the in-law’s place, we managed to catch two movies. The mall was so packed with people. Luckily, we managed to get two seats for us. First, we watched Twilight, Breaking Dawn. The movie was around two hours long. The cinema we were in was nearly full, with obviously many youngsters and teachers on holidays. How we know they are teachers, you may asked.. Cos they were non-stop talking about BCATs! Arghh… You’re on holidays, shouldn’t be talking non-stop about work, especially in a cinema! Some youngsters sitting near us were also chatting away throughout the movie, so annoying! They look like they are on a date, trying to hold each other’s hand throughout the movie.. You want me to watch two twilight movies at the same time, is it? LOL :p:p The movie ended around 5.05pm.

We give it a 7.5 out of 10
Was only really exciting towards the end of the movie :p

Then, we had a quick bite at McD. Here's what we ordered:

A double cheeseburger set meal & two apple pies :)

After that, back to the cinema again for the movie, Puss in Boots. Again, the cinema we were in was packed and we were particularly annoyed by two ladies sitting next to me on the left. First, they brought in a plastic bag full of outside food and drinks, then kept pushing the food to each other throughout the movie... What on earth are they doing? I have no idea really but it was so distracting! I guess some people just do not know how to enjoy a movie at the cinema..

We give it a 7 out of 10. Entertaining, bits and pieces of funny moments :p

And here’s what we had for dinner at Golden Leaf Restaurant (Jln. Tutong):

Good Friends

In reality, I’m the kind of person who waits for friends and not find friends. Too shy in nature since young, hehe :p But I’m glad I do have some good friends in my life despite my busy schedule. Good friends are really hard to find these days and I really cherish the ones that I have. I must admit they are really friendly, honest, trustable and most importantly, we feel comfortable with one another. Though we don’t meet up very often, like 247, we can still laugh a lot and talk non-stop about everything when we do meet up. It’s really nice to know that we have many common experiences and interests too :p :p So, to my good friends (I’m sure you know who you are :p hehehe), thank you so much for being such a beautiful part of my life, your friendship means more to me than you will ever know :p Hopefully, we can arrange for another hang out session soon, before we fly off for our loooooooong trip :p hehe
